We (Emilio & Samantha) are VERY excited to share with you this amazing healing tool!

We were introduced to Imago Dialogue by a friend back in 2019. We read the book “Getting the Love You Want” by Harville Hendrix & Helen LaKelly Hunt. It wasn’t until August 2021 that we enrolled in a couple’s program with John Wineland, that we started incorporating this dialogue in our day-to-day life. It was challenging at the beginning but very healing.

Since then, we have been consistently using this tool to share our differences, conflicts, and emotional charges. We no longer fight, we learned how to create a safe container for each other where we can bring anything we need. We use this tool weekly, sometimes daily. Every time we do a dialogue, we feel so much better, so much more connected, and we have more clarity. We also learn a lot from each other.

It has become a beautiful ceremony in our relationship.

One of the main challenges we encounter when we are helping others is healthy communication and clear boundaries. Many struggles between partners, family members, friends, and co-workers have to do with the inability to clearly communicate in a way that feels safe and non-judgmental.

This is why we feel so motivated to share this tool with you. To help our community members heal through healthy communication.

There are only 10 spots available. Ideally 5 couples (welcome to LGBTQ2ST+, friends are also welcome to be a couple). Also accepting individuals willing to learn and practice.

This is an in-person workshop hosted at The Studio: A Healing Place. 99 King St. N. Waterloo.

This event is $40/person or $70/couple

This is an experiential workshop. Come ready to practice with your partner or with another attendant.

What Is Imago Dialogue?

Imago Dialogue (also called Intentional Dialogue) is a non-judgmental, compassionate, and very healing communication tool that will allow you to move from blame and reactivity to understanding and empathy.

You will be able to create a deeper and loving connection with each other.

Imago dialogue can offer a very healing approach to transforming conflict into opportunities for a deeper awareness of ourselves and our partners.

The goal of Imago Practice is to change the power struggle and set you on the path of real love.

Clear communication is a window into the world of your partner, truly being heard is a powerful aphrodisiac.

You will learn how to create a safe container and you agree not to make the other person wrong for how they feel, how they think, or what they are afraid of. You also agree to not fix, not give unsolicited advice, and not interrupt while the other person is sharing.

This non-violent form of communication works really well with your romantic partner. It can also be applied to other communication with friends, family members, and co-workers.

Some of the benefits of practicing this form of communication are:

  • Transform any conflict into opportunities for healing and personal growth.
  • Get to know yourself and your partner more deeply.
  • Learn to understand each other’s feelings and “childhood wounds” more empathically.
